Has to be a culture thing.

Although Russian and German languages both sound "angry" to a western ear.

The Russians wanted to nuke us, and us them.

The Germans tried to bend you over, but you shot then out of the sky, then got em back, thanks to some pals.

The Germans were diabolical, but the Russians had nukes!

No love lost, past is the past, I love my Russian and German friends.
(not like any nation is exempt from such behavior)

Red Dawn is the best unintentional comedy ever based on the cold war.

RIP Patrick Swayze.
