Default IWM Duxford (5-9-12 (pic heavy)

Took a trip down to Duxford and it being my first visit I must say it was an amazing experience and well worth the 500 mile round trip.

More to follow when shots are sorted and time permits.

The Tiffie is a lovely bird, fast, loud and sure can move!

Love the Victor, nice to see the whole thing, the RAF Museum at Hendon only has the cockpit.

I've been there twice visiting the airshows in the late 90s. Loved every minute of it. Nothing better than to see, but above all HEAR Spits, Hurricanes, Messerschmidts and Mustangs in a mock dogfight. I miss it.

Wait, now I'm really confused. What part of the Buna aeroplane collection is this? Wow, you've got a big flat.

So when are you going to see Evergreen aviation museum? ...and I throw in the Boeing museum. (I'll buy plus the Newcastle)

(bring your swimming trousers)

(these guys have a REALLY cool WWI aviation display, if you fancy WWI aviation)

Biggest collection in the country jim, did you checkout the Land War Section?

I was last there some 10 years ago in the freezing winter and a MIG15 caught my eye about to take off, worth freezing my balls off to watch the MIG15 take off.

I keep meaning to go to Duxford when I'm down that way but I haven't managed it yet. You should try RAF Hendon when you get the chance. Finest museum I've ever been to, with the possible exception of the original IWM. Spent almost all morning in the WW1 hanger alone.

Every time I see photos like that, I can't stop calculating for the rest of the day.
