I do not understand the intense hatred of bronies on the net. Really. Who are they threatening? Really? The Star Trek and Star Wars fandom doesn't get this much hate.
Is it because the bronies like a show that was designed for girls originally? Does that threaten people's manhoods? Why can women be into Star Wars (A predominently male fandom), and yet men can't be into the Brony scene according to some people? This is kind of a double standard that I just don't get. People seem to think that bronies are this wierd mix of furry and pedophille. I don't get it. Can't it just be another fandom?
Another thing about this fandom is that it's central tennent is pretty much "Let's all be nice to one another."
I see nothing wrong with that. If this is true. The world needs more bronies.

Hate? I hope you're joking. I'm pretty sure everyone else is. I don't hate anybody. My kids were fans when they were little, and I bought them the toys. That was thirty years ago.

It just seems a bit silly to me.

Never really understood it myself either Blacklight, but there's nothing nasty on this forum, people are either bronies or they are not particularly bothered by it. I think, as bronies, we don't constantly push our fandom on people, well...some do but you get that in every fandom.
I mean, I like MLP:FIM (heck, I was a fan of the original series as a kid) but I'm not a 'clopper' (and no, for the love of God, don't google that...see, I told you not to) and I think that people who are...are...well, probably in the same sort of boat as some furries, and that's a fandom I really do struggle to understand. But each to their own, as I say, and so long as they don't get all up in my face about it, then I'm cool with that.

And if they do, well, we'll just Love and Tolerate them.

To echo both Steve and Oberon, don't take my words as hate. I don't care about My Little Pony. Yes, it is a show aimed at little girls. If a grown man wants to watch it, then that is fine. I was just teasing some people that I like and respect; Oberon in particular. He's a pillar of this community and a cool guy to boot. I think he knows, or at least I hope he does, that I was kidding. The image he posted me didn't get a reply because it wouldn't show up for me. Nothing was said about it because I think it's kind of rude when people gripe about an image not working for them as if that person has nothing better to do than to serve as my personal IT guy for an afternoon.

Personally, I find Star Trek just as ludicrous as My Little Pony. Plenty of people here like it. Again, so what?

Exactly. And it's all just good natured kidding. I have no real opinion either way.

On the other hand I have never trusted these two trouble makers.

Well, I've never taken you seriously before, why start now?

Yes, it won't show up on this computer either, which is odd. I think my home machine defies the laws of the internet sometimes. Still, it was nothing major, and a pony pic so it's no big deal.

As I've always said, if you can't take a joke, don't go on the internet...or indeed out of the front door.

Sadly, I had never heard of cloppers before (although I had heard of clopping before, and clopfics, so I did have an idea).

For those of us who like innuendo without clopper freakiness, I give you Princess Molestia.

Also, I think I've posted this before, but now that it's super relevant:

The bronies got nothing on these guys. They reek of danger. Look at them eyes.

Ah crap, now I'm gonna have nightmares.
