Looks like I solved the problem on my own.
  I opened JSGME up and I saw 'Tasks'. Hadn't looked there before even tho I know I've looked right at it. 'Tasks' opened and I saw 'Import'. I tried it and finally got the Sort of IX mod installed.  Now to see if it works. I hate going out with so few torpedos. SH3 really spoiled me with the Type IX and it's loadout.
