With SH3Commander you can randomize the crush depth for your own U-boat. That way you can't dive deep and think: "I'm safe, because I've been here before with this U-boat type".

One time, I was hit by a shell while crash diving and i made it to 295 meters. Everything was popping, breaking, and shattering. I eventually survived, very luckily. Another time, i was harbor raiding in a type II ( I dont recommend it because of torpedo malfunctions ) and i got hit by a shell. Rough seas and shallow water while a PT Boat is DC'ing you isnt good. The DC shot my stern up out the water at periscope depth. (Only 18 meters here) And a DD gave me a shiny new stern tube. Oil is leaking out and i am sinking. Bad flooding. I recovered from flooding, but more DC's killed me.
