Back in the SH1 days they offered two strart locations: Pearl Harbor and Manila. This led me to start two side-by-side careers, one from each base. As other bases were added I started new parallel careers. If one retired or died I started a new one at that same month.

Today I have three careers going in SH3, one from each flotilla. In SH4 I have the same thing at the same time, all in u-boats. If I ever actually get to 1942 I'll be running fleet boat careers as well, all simultaneous. Someday I might actually reach the end of the war.

Never thought of trying multi SH4, since I'm a die hard RFB/realism fan, and that's the only mod that I enjoyed. With the gradual decline of RFB users and development of the mod, I may change my mind.

Actually Fish, I kinda do a little "kit bashing" now. I take elements from the others where I can, and apply them to each one. It took some trial and error, but I have it working pretty good now after a couple months.

So in some respects they all play similar, but since each one of the mega mods has its own distinct approach, as to what the author(s) wanted to provide.

And what I swapped out from the different mods wasn't anything really that drastic of a change.

I sort of do the same thing. I have taken some elements from TMO, like certain interior models and sound effects, and use them in RFB. For example, TMO seems to have two different Diesel engine sounds. One of them sounds alot like a GM/Fairbanks Morse sound clip I heard before. The other sounds more like a Diesel from a U Boat (at least too me). What I did is replace the RFB Diesel exterior sound (never liked it) with the TMO file that sounds like the GM/FM. I took the other TMO Diesel sound and put it in JSGME form. When I play an early campaign with boats that had H.O.R. Diesels, I'll enable the sound file that sounds like the German M.A.N. Diesel, since the H.O.R. was based on a M.A.N. design. A bit much? Mabey, but those little details add to the immersion/realism for me

Yeah, that's exactly what I do. Take the things I like with in reason, that won't break things like sensors and what not, and spread them around.

How Many Campaigns Do You Play At 1 Time?

While one may have multiple campaigns loaded on a computer, that person can only "play" one campaign at a time.

True, but it is nice to bounce around if one gets board with one, and wants a change of pace.

I did the same thing. Now I'm content for one campaign at a time. If I decide to try two, it will probably be one in SH4 and the second in SH3.
