Is there any recomended UI mods that work with GFO ? I like to see my course etc in menu bar or somewhere and curent compass is not very good.

And if anyone can recomend some mods that add immersion bit more ?

just about anything "should" work with GFO but there is no way to be sure so just try what you like and see how it works, if you dont notice any side effects it should be fine and in most cases if it interferes with something it would only undo a fix here or there which still wont effect the game working. i can say Max Optics 3 definately doesnt work with GFO, it causes ship skins to not work correctly and close up views of equipt are blurry, Max Optics 4 works fine with GFO as far as i know.

no promises or idea when it might happen but im trying to get into doing an update for GFO which would straighten out a few missing elements and naturally it would include patches for the latest RSRDC and environment mods

Thank you! I've posted in the Improved Stock Environment thread this very question because there's no way I'm losing GFO for anything, but I'm drooling over this new environment mod, it does look really really good.
Anyway, I'm hoping that it's at least patchable.
High Hopes!

Thanks Webster!

Thanks Webster!
near as i can recall from memmory the only thing you will lose from GFO without a environment patch would be the smaller more transparent rain.

i would have to look up the settings but thats something you could add yourself if you wanted to

Hi Webster,
So your saying it's probably OK to use?! Correct? I was going thru all the fixes and add-ons GFO offers and really didn't see all that much heavy Environmental changes. Like you said, maybe the smaller rain adjustment.
So, I'm going to try out this mod, give it a go. I'll post back so you and Haukka81 and anyone else interested will know how it went.
Cheers.

yep, the main goal of GFO was to make it as easy as possible to add mods to it so side effects from adding mods "if any" are usually very minor.

adding ISE would lose the small rain but i cant think of anything else.
