Hi All,
I would like to install the LWAMI Mod. Will I be limiting myself to other LWAMI Mod users when playing Multi-Player? Do most Multi-Player users using the LWAMI Mod? Is there any reason NOT to install the LWAMI Mod? Thank you. - PC |

If you want to install the Mod and keep the ability to switch out to a stock version of the game, you have two options.
You can download the JSGME version of the Mod which includes the JSGME mod enabler that is very popular in the SHIII community which can automatically install and uninstall the mod. You can also download the mod by itself, there are two separate distributions available, make backup copies of your stock Database and Doctrine folders (which is recommended anyway), btw they're the only folders edited in the LWAMI Mod, and copy them back over the Modded folders if you want to restore the stock game. So basically, since the mod only edits things in the Doctrine and Database folders, changing modded and unmodded versions is as easy as changing the folders.

Thank for the reply LuftWolf.
I was checking out the other threads regarding your mod (LWAMI) and I am a little confused about one point. The thread talking about the release of your mod mentioned that you would not be supporting the 1.3 beta patch. Is that still the case or is it OK to install your mod after installing the 1.3 beta patch from Sonalysts. Thanks! - PC |

Just get the JSGME Mod version and the doctrine updates at this thread : http://www.orionwarrior.com/forum/showthread.php?t=174 They are designed to work with the 1.03B patch. If you want to use the 1.01 + Hotfix the LwAmi 2.03 is recommend (same forum, different thread).

I had originally decided not to support it, but when it was clear that 1.03 was going to be longer in coming that I thought, Amizaur sent me some stuff he had been working on and suggested that we release a version of LWAMI 3.00b for DW 1.03b.

So the big wuestion is, can I install 1.o3beta, and switch back and forth to 1.01?
Not the LWAMI, but the actual DW versions? Would it take more than just copying the database/doctrine files? If not, does anyone know how to create another partition for a RAID 0 system, without losing all the data? ![]() |
