Are you looking at RSRD files? Open the file with the mission editor, you can find the various forces involved, from their start points to where they meet. Can jot down the coordinates if needed, just roll your mouse over a point on the map where their waypoints are, look down at the bottom, it will give you the coordinates, then when in game, find the coordinates on the map.SJ radar is a big help. Also, for the purposes of enjoying the battles, I enabled the "next/previous cam" so could instantly jump to the combatants that are away.Instructions on how to bring back the next/previous cam are in the TMO readme. First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal does not start until the night of 12 November/13 November, the Japanese forces will enter Savo Sound just before midnight or just after if I recall in the sound between guadalcanal and savo island, Admirals Callaghan and Scott's forces move in from the east and their paths cross, eventually they come to near point blank ranges.I chose to intervene and attack a few times, next time I am just going to observe, see how it plays out without my help, although it stayed to history mostly, even with my help.

Try it again on night of November 12/13 after looking at the ME and renabling the new/prev came(the <> keys in stock) so you can enjoy the battle fully. If you are running tmo that is or any mod the disables that cam.If you still have no luck, PM me and Ill give you the coordinates as I jotted them down for future reference, make it easier to find them when I want to watch it play out.

thanx bubble....i looked a little closer and i realized that the JSGME had RSRDC enabled but it wasnt running it, all the files were still the TMO campaign files which does have that 1944 error in the 2.5 version...i think ill send Ducimus a message about that if he doesnt mind.....so since JSGME wasnt working properly i just manually overwrote the RSRDC files into the directory so everything is kosher now.

i just hate that i thought i was running TMO and RSRDC for the last 19 war patrols of one career.....oye oh well..

I dont have the mission editor yet unless its built in....will look into that next but ive got a pretty good familiarization of when and where the battles take place...and if i forget there is always the internet and history books

The mission editor comes with the game, its in your SH directory, just look and scroll down.Hmm that's strange JSGME didnt overwrite TMO.Wroks fine for me.Yea if RSRD is not running then you have a problem.Try it out again and let me know.
