@ Sailor Steve however, doesn't GWX and or Commander have a no disk patch already in it? I seem to remember booting up SH3 every time without disk whenever I clicked on commander or GWX to play
...funny you should say. i have been tinkering with the idea thoigh not sure about all the fixes, not sure i want them all.

I actually think you can choose which ones are opted in and out. But even if you don't, its worth it, I think all of them are, ups the immersion nicely. Its actually a nerve racking decision to decide to load external torps because of now I cannot dive in the middle of it and it takes me more than a few seconds plus I have to be a sitting duck

..just a quicky then. do i need to be in port to install - expecting the answer YES!

Actually Im not sure. I WANT to say yes, but I seem to remember being out at sea and installing just fine, find and read the thread, he has all info on there.
Oh and enjoy the added immersion/realism when you install it
