Only the most partisan hack or someone who is looney tunes could argue with a straight face that Obama is subverting the Constitution. Every action he has taken, even the most controversial ones (Libya, recess appointments) were either clearly within his presidential powers or he had ample precedents.

This is just a sign of how desperate the Republicans are becoming. The Republicans blew a golden opportunity to reclaim the white house. Republicans themselves defined their own candidate as a flip-flopper, opportunist, out of touch, corporate raider, too rich, etc. Given the current state of the economy, ANY opposition candidate should be poling 10-20 points ahead of Obama at this point in the campaign. Unless something drastic happens in the next 6 months, you are looking at a minimum 5-10 point win by Obama. Why do you think the Obama team sounds so confident these days?

Trying to stir the pot on issues that have been examined is a waste of time.

Should the Executive Office - regardless of who is in it - try to grasp dictatorial powers - the uprising would be immense and indefeatable. You would have Congress, the Judiciary, the Military and the States in absolute lockstep against such a thing.

Its a waste of time and energy to think that such bold jumps would occur.

Its not a coup - there are however distinct trends toward REMOVING the Constitution from its place as the foundation of our Federal government. However, that takes time - and the voters will speak (as they did in 2010) that such will not be allowed.

This is fearmongering of the worst sort, and is a waste. Lets focus on what is there and provable:

#1 Gas and energy prices skyrocketing - lack of a coherent energy policy.
#2 Less total employed now than when Obama took office.
#3 Crony Capitalism that rewards major donors on the taxpayer's dime, using imaginary wishful thinking as policy - aka "green jobs".
#4 Total and undeniable failure in foreign policy.
#5 Total and undeniable failure in keeping campaign promises regarding closing Gitmo, ending overseas wars, keeping Iran from getting a nuke, bringing NK back into the mainstream world, etc.....
#6 Surging natonal debt that outstrip even his predecessor, whom he blames for almost every failure, despite having 3+ years to fix it.
#7 Supporting legislation that has consistently been opposed but the majority of the people.
#8 Consistently opposing legislation and policy supported by the majority of the people.
#9 Continually stirring class and racial division in an attempt to secure support among fractious groups.
#10 Failing to promote an economic policy with any coherence, going so far as to asking his own party to vote against his own budget if it came to a vote in Congress.

I could go on and on...... But I don't think its necessary. The American people will speak in November - and be warned, the "Silent Majority" will not be silent.
