Not sure what reason there may be you wanting to know these time facts.
If you write an extra patrol report you may want to save the game and open the CRP file (notepad!) in the corresponding savegame folder of your career in 'MyDocuments' as a reference. All reports are listed chronologically - time and date stamped.

I know I try to keep track of these things to give me perspective on what's happening in the game (length of pursuit, time vs. fuel, time vs. charging, time to sink, whether I received a positive report from the WO,LI,WEPS,NAV, time on course, last ordered course, etc.
Why keep a deck log if you can't read it easily? hmmm I could set all the terminology to look more like a deck log... I even considered trying to find one for my iPad so I could keep track of this stuff... I used to take hand-notes on approach and attack to see if I could reconstruct what happened afterward, try to fix my mistakes ![]()

when i was writing my war diary story i had a big notebook where i scribbled down everything, including the number of depthcharges and the stuff like:
'calm sea clear weather, at least 5 escorts but decided to attack convoy anyway, periscope depth schleichfahrt 2246" it was a lot of fun and great for immersion ![]()

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your perspective. Yes, that's also what i'm trying to do, but without the hassle of writing down everything by hand and instead being able to rely on the in-game event log. It's just that it's a bit of a hassle to go up and down in the list and find a specific event, especially if a hundred or so new things have come up since. Sounds like there is no way to expand the log and show a full screen version or something like that, which would be easier than to view 3 lines of text at a time... I guess I'll need to be more diligent in keeping separate paper notes of important events - torpedo launches, WO sightings, etc. |
