This is a common problem for users with low memory and/or 32bit OS

MS Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP3 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz (5-5-5-18) I find, after playing for an hour to an hour and a half that while I don't actually crash, per se, the game gets slower and slower until it becomes unplayable. This is particularly true when I go below decks even though I'm not using Steel Viking's interior MOD. Does anyone have any idea as to how difficult it would be to go from XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit on my current compuiter which is loaded with a lot of stuff plus SH 5? I understand, if I have it correctly, that using a 32 bit system only allows the use of two of the available 4 GB's of available memory but that there is a program or a way to recapture the remaining 2 GB which are not being used in game at the present time. If anyone has any comments or suggestions on these matters they would be most appreciated. |

Thanks Trevally for the answer, I'll try to get used to it. I also want to thank you for the mods and automations you made wich help me to get the most of the game.
SOLVED: Just save the game and restart the game while in harbor. Last edited by Pampero; 03-22-12 at 04:04 PM. |
