Yep, I've seen it too, particularly in the Kieler Kanal.
Last time out I ran into not one, but TWO fellow U-Boats just hanging out in the middle, going nowhere fast. I figured they were probably on the homebound leg and wanted to make sure their Boats were polished, spit-shined and ready for the Karbolnüttschen
