Fred,

First off, many thanks for your work. Incredible.

Anywho, I was wondering if I'm on target here...

My understanding is this... my first patrol is in '41 out of Pearl, I downloaded the Honolulu station only (just to keep it simple and to learn 'the process'). I noticed quite a few news casts from '42-'45. I guess I need to edit them out and place them in another folder outside of the game and just keep the '41 casts in there... otherwise I will here "future broadcasts" that haven't happened just yet?

Also, I downloaded the hawaiin music... do I just drop the songs in the KGM (or whatever the station's letters are) folder and they will play randomly with the newscasts?

Just making sure.

-many thanks!

No, just leave them alone. In the folder with the programs is a file called "events.ini." This file is used by the game to control when these programs will play. They will ONLY play when a specific date and time is reached in the game. So a program for say March 25th, 1942, won't play until then.

Yes. For most of my other stations the music needs to be in the year folders inside the station folder, but for KGMB it's just that folder.

Awesome, many thanks again, Fred.

Something I did notice and unsure of how to go about resolving this...

I hear a 'stock' song playing in the background at ALL times (stock as in- one of the original songs from the stock game that plays in the background)... even when tuned into KGMB its playing... and I can't for life of me get it to stop. I bet it's coming from the gramophone but I tried turning it off and it still plays?

I can live with it, it just makes hearing the news casts from Honolulu that much harder...(I even went into the sound settings and turned down the 'music' tab.)

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Best regards,
-Dellinger

Try this: Click "Options\Sound Settings" and then uncheck the "Music Volume" box. That will turn the background music off.

Hey Fred, one more thing...

I had to re-install SH4 because I messed up the modding for a few mods. Anyway, I can't seem to fing the correct radio.ini text for the Washington and the Honolulu stations... can you post it?

(I re-downloaded the Honolulu station files again but I still couldn't find the readme file for editing the radio.ini.)

Thank you sir!

Washington is already in the game, so it doesn't need to be edited. Here's the Honolulu info:
