I've installed inside and out side of the program files folder. I have even set it to compatibility mode NT4.0. I have tried all compatibility modes, with none of them working. Maybe my problem is that's there is no drm/protection software installing. If that's the case how do I install star force or what ever else drm this game should have come with.

I dunno but you may win a prize for being the first person ever to ask how to *add* Starforce to your game installation. ![]() Wish I could help but I skipped right over Windows Vista so have no firsthand experience. Others here will know more. I doubt anyone will advise adding Starforce if you don't have it, as it seems to cause problems rather than the other way around and will most definitely not play nice with Windows should you upgrade to Win7 in the future. |

I think the DRM-free disk has Starforce on it, just not enabled. Ever since installing SHIII and when starting up my computer, I get a message stating that Starforce isn't working properly or something.
In any case, you definitely don't need to be adding Starforce to the game. If I had my DVD with me, I'd gladly do a re-install in order to be able to walk you through the process, but I don't, so I can't ![]() I can try to dig up an installation guide which is somewhere on this or another SH forum.
