He was a person who behaved disgustingly and willfully corrupted, lied about and manipulated the political process in this country.

I'm not glad he's dead because I don't think anyone is really deserving of having their death celebrated, but I'm glad his voice has been silenced forever. He can't ruin anyone else's life, or the political fabric of this country anymore. That's a good thing.

To honour him in the manner of his own standards with all his respect for the recently deceased he should be quoted, he was "a liar" "a prick" "a duplicitious bastard"

I agree with Tribesman...

Another intersting view (although I don't think 'Bubbles' is interested in other views...):

http://opinion.latimes.com/opinionla...breitbart.html

From the above blog:

Quote:
Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart was no respecter of the maxim that one shouldn't speak ill of the dead: After the death of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy in 2009, he spewed venom all over the liberal lion's grave via Twitter, calling him a "special pile of human excrement," a "villain" and other things we can't reprint on a family website. So I don't have any qualms about remembering Breitbart, who died suddenly Thursday at 43, as a closed-minded bully and blowhard who seemed to think he could win debates by shouting louder than his opponent rather than having a better argument, a casual liar who shamelessly destroyed reputations and an unfortunate new species of Internet parasite.
The restrictions of the forum moderators on acceptable speech and my own moral opposition to the use of vulgar speech in place of reasoned thought prevent me from expressing my full opinions on the cleansing of humanity from one less social blemish...

From the little I know about him, I think he was a vital part of a free press. Especially his actions to expose the hypocrisy of liberal causes like ACORN and NPR. Andrew was like a investigate jujitsu master, he allowed these corrupt entitites to take themselves down. All he did was focus a little light on them.

RIP, Andrew Breitbart.

I strongly disagree. He lied, manipulated evidence, edited film, and otherwise portrayed situations so that they served his version of "the truth", reality be danged.

We can certainly do without that.

I imagine somewhere Anthony Weiner is wishing he had kicked off one year earlier.

Are you saying he "manipulated" Weiner?

I didn't know he worked for ABC or was it NBC, news. or was it CBS no maybe CNN. I'm listening to the Dennis Miller radio show sounds like that Andrew was well liked. RIP a true patriot. Even in death he still shows us how vile the left, really is.

So shining light = making things up out of whole cloth?

Oh well, he was a conservative, so I guess it's ok.

Yeah because ACORN never did anything to justify the controversy. I guess like most things the liberals do they only want quality standards applied to others.

Its sad this is political...

A man with a wife and kids passed away. A family lost someone they held dear. That is sad - regardless of his political affiliation, his political or journalistic actions.

If you don't think so - just look at your own life - your own comments and your own actions. There are likely plenty of people who will not mourn your passing. Is this the kind of reaction you want from others? You can despise someone - but spitting on their grave just because "they did it too" just continues the cycle....

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his soul find shelter in the hand of the Creator.

Very well said.

You're wrong about it being political. He's being remembered for exactly the way he lived. You live and die in mud, don't expect people to comment on how clean and white your clothes were after you're gone. If he didn't want to be remembered as a showboating, grandstanding liar who made his living ruining the lives of others, maybe he should have given some thought to that before he died. The act of dying doesn't earn anyone automatic respect.

I don't know what he made up. I am referring to the exposes I heard of, such as the sex deviate congressman and Acorn employees trying to help an undercover journalist get papers to pimp child prostitutes.

Doesn't matter to me if he was a conservative or a liberal.
