About neutral ships, I just ran into two of them. I have them in my sites and I ask hydro man to follow nearest sound contact, but he says there isn't any.
Is this because ships are neutral? I can hear them when I go to hydro station. The ships are, Rongel Small Old Split Freighter and N3SA1 Small Merchant. I believe they were added from OHII Full. From the other thread, it seems you already have your game patched with TDW SH5Patcher... the sonarguy still cannot hear a ship at 1.250? Is it out of the deaf zone (I think 20º bow and 40º stern)? Even if you can hear them, the sonarguy will usually lose their track.

My hydrophone guy can tell me in message box when I ask report nearest sound contact. I get the norm, but when I have him follow nearest sound contact he tells me there is no sound contact. If this is all from my game needing patch by the UI patcher, then i should consider getting a hard copy of the game. |

Wll, I don,t know. I also sometimes have this bug, even with sh5patch. Yesterday I clearly was able to hear a merchant 11 km away, but the sonarguy couldn't even though he was able to give me correct reports. Afterwards, when an airplane make me go underwater, at 7 km from the same merchant, the sonarguy worked correctly. Oh well... I think I can live with that, if not, I would always be chasing for mods and never playing! (Its the first time ina like two weeks of trying it to work).

What version of OH II do you have? In previous version there were problems with some of the ships hydro sounds but they should have been fixed by now. And remember that when the ships go really slow (5 knots or so) they don't appear in hydro. |

I am using the latest version 1.6 and now 1.7. I hear them when in hydro station just my hydro guy cant track them, he gives me sound contact report.
