News of the day: "The exceptional cold is continuing for the rest of the week".

We really need a facepalm emoticon here.

Yeah. I could barely understand this kind of article from southern Finland's newspapers but one from Tampere?

Aamulehti is a big joke, and their weather reporting is just one form of the constant comedy they call journalism. Try searching some old winter and weather related articles on their website: I guarantee you will soon be rolling on the floor, but not sure if you should laugh or cry.

Hey we could get fined by EU for having too much freeze and snow. Three years in row now. Not excactly a "directive" winter.

No, this is exactly the directive: Keep it cold, so that you guys stay inside and don't go out onto the streets and protest the glorious EU.

It's not that cold. But the wind is stirring things up (pun intended)

Its stupidly cold here for summer at the moment. 17C top temp yesterday after two days of >30C.

This summer has been our coldest December for 50 years and our wettest January for 10 years. Bring back the sun please?

We have plenty of sun. Looking out of my window, I can't see a single cloud in the sky. But it doesn't exactly make me happy, since the stupid fireball on the sky has taken the proverb "cold comfort" way too literally.

That's one of the biggest ironies of this season. The winter days are usually the sunniest of the year, and yet it's -20 to -40 outside.

I voted for EU.

It's those other guys who know had a chance. Five years ago anti EU movents were consisted of idiots who couldn't even give reasonably explanation what's wrong in it.

Besides -20 degrees celsius even augemented by wind can't keep a finn inside.
