only 2 options:

1. Enable/Disable TDC
2. Nevermind

Hi Foxtrot

First, make sure your SH5 is updated to v1.2.0.
Look in the upper right corner of the Main Menu, it should say 1.2.0.

If it doesn't run this program;

C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\Support\GameUpdater\gu.exe

This should get you updated.

As SilentSteel has said your first check should be to ensure you are updated to v1.2.

Next - have you moved the install path for SH5 - this can sometimes cause that error.
Last - your TDW UI mod or just the options.py file within, are corupt and needs re-installing

Thnks for the replys, I'm running 1.2.0
I was playing game with MOD, everything was Ok, then I made some tweaks to TheDarkWraithUserOptions, again it was worked well with new settings, but then I exit game through "Exit to Windows", somewhere I was read that I should exit through "Exit to Menu" to correctly save the game log, and after that I'm getting this, and all my saves crashing to desktop after loading them

Sorry my bad, I forgot to put quotes when I was changing bool values to string in TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py

I have gotten this when my mods were in a bad sequence .. I unloaded all my mods . than reloaded them using sobers mod list guide -- if you are trying to load speech recongnition after
TDW UIS . you will get this . Load speech reconignition before any uis .. that what I had to do , but after I sequnced my mod list the problem went away ! THis format is working for me .. but its not final becuase some of the mods are outdated , but workable

Which is why you should use the OptionsEditorViewer app to make changes to options file

I'm having problems downloading anything from gamefront though.
It seems that just about every file on that website is broken and have been for at least a day.
I'm wondering if there are any mirrors anywhere?
I would even be willing to host the files my self if it ment I would get them my self :p

Hello, could I ask one question? One thing bothers me about "attack disc". Why it is possible to lock compass rose to the uboat heading instead of the outside ring that actually _represents boat heading_ . I... just... can't get it <mind exploded> .

I managed to solve my problem with downloading from gamefront.
aparently they must have blocked my ip on their download servers or something like that. As I managed to get the mod downloaded when I used a web proxy.
I find this a bit strange
