Keep in mind Arclight generally requires a tribute of some sort... most often its your first born or something of equal value.

Aye... had to give up my golden coffee maker to get to the server...

EDIT: Oh yeah and my luck SUCKS in our SMP worlds. In the last world,
my base was on top of a abandoned mine. In this world, my base is on
top of a abandoned mine. I went to the Netherbase and used the portal
I had there to get waaaaay out and start a mining base there. Well, guess
what?! There's a frigging abandoned mine under it!

I really need to reconsider that policy. You have any idea how much effort newborns are to keep? Sheesh.

Right, new player it is. Them US folk are gaining ground again.

FYI to the new guy, follow the overhead railway, it will lead you from the spawn to the (relative) safety of City 20.

Thanks for the info guys! I got the IP and I didn't even have to give Archlight a baby! I see his point about the extra cost though..... Looking forward to seeing some of you on the server. What are some of your minecraft usernames so I can tell who you are. Mine is Jake8210.

Happy Hunting!

Does ANYONE EVER still play?!? I was running around for a long time and never saw anybody. I tried saying hello and checked the server login and nobody ever appeared. There are some nice structures but where exactly can I live? Thanks for the help and I hope I''ll see you soon.

Most of the people who do still play are Europeans, myself included. The only reason I'm still awake is because I'm at work Which means, alas, I cannot minecraft. In regards of where you can live, check out the village next to City 20, there might be an unclaimed prebuilt 'villager' house in there. Don't worry about the villagers coming back to claim it...they all seem to have met with...unfortunate...accidents.

There has been a decline of players of late though...but that happens a lot. They'll be back, it's just a rise and fall of popularity.

Pretty much this I'm afraid.

Tho, have been playing with the Buildcraft since yesterday which is quite fun.
Was about to suggest we'd pop that on the server, but as oil is such an important
resource in it, we'd just end up racing around the map trying to find new sources
of oil, making the map HUGE, so don't think that'd work very well.

For me, when I did play Technic pack, I found that oil wasn't as huge as I thought it would be. I couldn't be arsed to go out and find it. But boy when I found it, I was like a drug addict finding a new stash.

Yeah, well that's Technic pack.

If you want to do anything efficiently in BC, you need combustion engines, which
are the most efficient when ran on fuel, so oil is pretty darn important.
