First DD encounter with RSRD - Pucker factor has gone to 11

That's why you play the game !!... If it was all radar contact, maneuver, sight , approach, loose the fish and leave ... what's the excitement in that?

Seriously, I've been playing TMO with RSRDC for a while now and it is very realistic. You may want to add "Max OPTICS IV for TMO " makes the periscope and TBT much more visual ....

There is also a CD and Bomb Load on ?Zeros fix for RSRDC. One other mod to add is a 3000 yard plot for the resolution of your monitor (makes the image a circle, not an oval).

The mods I use --
TMO 2.5
RSRDC_TMO V502
RSRDC V5xx Patch1
Fixed Zero Bomb Load RSRDC
Fixed CD Sonar RSRDC
Max Optics for TMO_2
OPCF green
TMO Visuals for RSRDC
3000 yd Bearing Tool (1440x)

Works for me, you may use a different set ....

@BernieP2: Oh I'm not complainig at all! I hope all of the DD encounters are more like this! I was immersed in the game more than I've been in a while. I actually caught myself tensing up -cringing even- when the DD screws passed overhead!

Interesting set of mods. I'll check them out. Good hunting to you, as well!

It's had to judge the crew rating or compare RSRD to TMO, both are different. Overall RSRD does have lower crew ratings earlier war, but you'll still run into a lot of vet crews. I think TMO has most of the escorts in RSRD now, but RSRD does have some mean escorts in the TypeAB and a few others. Wait until you run into 4 Type AB escorts....get deep fast, suckers drop about 24 charges per run.

There is another mod I like, think it's Max's DD pack, reworks several of the escorts, not that they're harder, but several throw different patterns due to the rack placement.

Also fairly easy to edit crew ratings with notepad, just takes a lil while. I've got most of my escorts set to veteran and many elite. You want some real fun, set them to elite.....

Hey, where've you been Armistead? I missed you buddy. Haven't seen you around in a while. I was starting to fear something might've happened to you. Looks like UBI pushed back their grand re-opening date. I figure it'll be mid February before they're back online.
