Thanks for the welcome, Kafka BC. This "old salt" likes it here already. As a long time "lurker", I don't recall seeing that before. Just lucky I guess. Hope everybody's OK. As a seasoned ol' crank, I've noticed you can't have too many friends.

I just posted a thread in GT about seeing my dad on his 84th birthday, reconnecting with my daughter and meeting one of my grandkids for the first time. We can lie to ourselves, we can even lie to the mirror sometimes, but we can't lie to our adult children.

So true, my friend. I have 32 and 35 year olds. They keep me honest. Also 11 year old grandson. Really glad you got to see your dad. Lost mine 1970. He was only 51. Aircraft mech. in RCAF. Served in England in WW2. Worked on Wellingtons and Lancs. Browsed through thread, great pics. As a Canuck, I'm impressed with your neice! Keep your stick on the ice mate!
