Can't Start First Missoin

OK i finished the tutorial ordeal and am safely docked, i got the green tick but now i am just sitting on the dock, the camera (me) is looking at the dock and I can walk around and two guys will speak to me, but no one will give me my first mission. What do i do?

My boat is in the water, crew on desk manning the glasses, but no keys will do anything other than call up the keyboard...

You walk over to Mr. Admiral guy then click the icon Request Mission then click what ever Iron Cross icon you want then a box will pop out and in the box it'll say Request mission. Click that then click the X at the top of the screen then click Mr. Admiral again and this time click the button that says Let's start the new patrol. The guy that's near the admiral is where you select the torpedo loadout and upgrades.

thanks, i tried clicking on both of them as they were the only guys who the cursor would indicate anything might happen but their responses were just welcome back, and I did not see any other choices or any way to scroll down to more options. I will try again. I thought they were the two i needed to talk to but just could not get them to say anything useful yet. I did manage to finish the tutorial and then after reading a post i just changed the ini setting to tutorial completed. and hope that will get me to the start mission point. thanks for the replies. I will try again later today.

It will say the the mission stuff in the box at the bottom of your screen.

I tried again and neither men would give me any options. So I disabled all mods and started over, now they give the right replies..and I was able to equip and add torpedoes. Now the port Admiral gives background but after he finished, NO iron crosses appear so i cannot pick a mission. I tried laying a course anyway but got CTD. Any way to force the missions to appear on the map? I tried listening to the mission background ..i am in Total War.... and still no crosses appear. I tried clicking in Skip but no crosses so no missoins to pic. Any ideas?



Map as it appears in my install after the Port Admiral gives first background briefing after i load torps and get upgrades.. Maybe i should try wihtout any upgrades as i do not have much renown yet. maybe i spent over my budget...

Hi Sober

All is well finally, I had a bunch of mods but for this i uninstalled all of them.

I started the Campaign over chose no tutorial and got everything to work fine. I am on my first mission just about to enter the Kiel Canal, Amazing to see all the detail ....just like being there. Can almost smell the Baltic smells.



I will re install the mods carefully one by one to be sure i can keep going. thanks for the help from all hands. Much appreciated. I will try instaling the new UI mod once i get my sea legs as i would like to have more control over the boat.

Sober I have your multi colour mod loaded but i forget what it is for at the moment.

I activated the Realistic Enviro mod, but now there are white caps in the Canal i will see if i can adjust it a bit, it does get rough in the canal but not usualy showing whitecaps on every wave
