Posts: 2,228 Downloads: 105 Uploads: 0	Well, if I were a new skipper, I'd checked the actual speeds .vs book speeds on my own, right out of port on my boat's maiden voyage. I'd set the speed on each specific setting, wait several minutes and then check to see what my actual speed for that setting is. That's what I still do since all the different types of subs may differ by a small amount.
