Thank u so much !! This means a lot to me, as U-262 (K.L. Heinz Franke) was the U-Boat that sunk the Norwegian Corvette "HNoMS Montbretia (K 208)" on 18.11.1942, where my grandmother's oldest brother, Quartermaster "Einar Meier Larsen", was killed together with 46 other crew members. (ONS-144) A spanish member from this forum, told me some few years ago, that "Montbretia" lies at a depth of nearly 4000 meters. My grandmother's brother, was off-duty and asleep when their boat was torpedoed. A very sad story that my grandmother (died in 2008 as a 93 year old) never liked to talk about, and she always started crying. My avatar also shows Heinz Franke. The photos of U-262 are very interesting, and I will defenately save them !! A million thanks, U796 !

Great pictures everyone! Great pieces of history. I often catch myself staring at one for a very long time...
