Is SH5 a better game than SH3 GWX?

While I have only had 5 for a short time, I can say with all confidence that III is still better. Vanilla SH 5 is nothing short of an Alpha release. Darkwraith's UI mod is a must. Likewise, the TDC appears to be broken, thanks to all of the silliness of including an "interactive" crew. As it stands, SH5 has way too many issues and bugs that demand further patching (i.e. "Rudder Right 180 Degrees"

) to come anywhere close to the quality of even stock SH III.

SH III works, SH 5 halfway works...even with mods. Stick with what works.
