Default IXC/40

Hi shipmates,

Since one of my very good friend here at subsim who provide me with tons of excellent references for our work on U-BOOT_HAHD i have decide upon his request to upload the very first preview pictures of the U-BOOT IXC/40 HAHD.

This is work in progress but 90% is done the hull has been done with the cross sections from original blueprint so it is perfectly accurate to the real deal i even redone the propeller and everything under the hull.

Best regards Hans

Looks very sleek. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm always amazed at the quality of your work. You've got a great eye for detail and it really shows in the finished product. Once again, great job and congrats!

Well it certainly seems to be living up to its name. Speaking of which, I always thought it was quite positive that you started this project on a lower end rig. That way, (I thought) you'd always be aware of system specs, frame rates and the need to optimize.

Now that you've upgraded, it seems your artistic flair is even better situated although I know you haven't forgotten your roots and those who still labor with the older machines. I guess what I'm trying to say is I appreciate your goal in aiming for historical accuracy, high detail and yet still bringing HAHD to as many players as possible.

It'll be a great day when it arrives, and will no doubt make the wait well worthwhile.

Hi mate,

Thank again for supporting our effort and yes i still have my older system so i always test it on both to make sure less recent machine can run it.

The interior is the most heavy duty work because i had to redo everything from scratch since nothing was scale correctly in vanilla and it give us the opportunity to refine interior detail and texture with a baking technique i use to fake a much more advanced shader model that give a nice finish on metal, brass and glass.

When we will start showing the interior some will probably ask if it SH6
Best regards Hans
