Any "Anachronistic" type mods/maps (i.e. 688 vs WWII platforms) out there?
I've been looking and had not found any, but I was just wondering if anyone had made a mod/scenario that allows you to pit modern day subs versus WWII ships and subs? Either for DW or SubCommand?
I can see how it would be a turkey shoot with today's advanced sonar and quiet engines, but if the odds were stacked against you via sheer numbers it could be interesting. Anyone heard of something like that? If not, is anyone interested in making one? All the best, Tim |

Adding vintage classes of subs and vessels to DW is possible if the devs want to. Truth is, their time is better spent working on contemporary models.
If and when all other desires are satisfied, I, too, would like to see a couple retro models added for some "ghost ship" type scenarios. Maybe a reverse "Final Countdown"? ![]() Hey, if someone could somehow port Enigma: Rising Tide models into DW, an old fanboy desire would be fulfilled.

So it's not possible with MODs and Custom Missions? I thought I read some downloads that indicated otherwise. I thought they could even change the looks of the models with MODs just like other games.
