First up, welcome back to SH3!
 Glad you got it up and running - although the res fix is a bit of a horse of a different color. I've got it working on Vista (no freezes - screenshots and all) but it took quite a bit of configuring. My advice would be to post the steps you've taken and what the results or lack thereof have been. Perhaps then someone could spot an omission or suggest an alternate approach. Many times patience is the key, so good luck and hang in there!
