"In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye."
That's begging the question. You ask the government if they're hiding evidence from you, and they say that there's no evidence that they're hiding evidence from you.

little green space men? nope. but there are life forms that exist in other solar systems. mathematically, its nearly impossible that we are the only example of life in the universe, considering that our sun is one of ~300 billion stars in our galaxy alone, and our galaxy is one of nearly 200 billion galaxies in the observable universe (not to mention other possible universes). that means a potential of trillions of planets. to say that we are the only ones with any form of life on it is a bit crazy. especially since mars has potential to become our next planet that we colonize when the earth becomes overpopulated.

Glad to see the White House is staying on top of the important issues.
Unemployment is still at 9.0%, by the way. |

The Paradigm Research Group, one of the organizations sponsoring the petitions, has issued a statement saying, "As expected it was written by a low level staffer from the Office of Science and Technology Policy; research assistant Phil Larson. The response was unacceptable."
Cry me a river. Decades ago, people just *Knew* there was life on Venus. It was commonly held belief, even among many in the scientific community, that it must be a warm, tropical planet. We landed probes there, and discovered it is a dead, hellish world. Most people up to the 1950s used to think Mars was inhabited, and claimed to see canals, but space missions have shown Mars to be a dead, cold desert. It very likely had a warmer climate and even oceans long ago, but not enough to sustain biology beyond microorganisms (if even that). So no Venusians, and no Martians. They now supposedly come from Zeta 2 Reticuli. I guess Alpha Centauri was passed up in case we ever get a good look at that system. It's fine to believe in alien life, and alien civilizations. Certainly, given the staggering size of the visible universe the possibility exists. But when it comes to them visiting us, I'm skeptical. I would prefer proof, not suggestive claims or empty hype. Unfortunately, the only response that is acceptable to this crowd is that we are in direct communication with aliens.
