I would say play a carrer without mods, then install GWX gold 3.0, and after that SH3 Commander.
I use windows 7 so idk, but I dont think so. PS Woulda been easier to get it on steam, no delivery. |

I run SH3 on Vista just fine. Do not install it in the default Program Files folder. Make one labeled Ubisoft, or whatever you wish outside of the Program Files folder, and install it there. The UAC in Vista, and Windows 7, monitors the Programs Files folder and makes modding SH3 a nightmare.
