I'm about 180 miles from London, it's about 4 hours drive. Or 6-7 hours on a coach (but surprisingly cheap!)

I've been to London, as an adult, about half a dozen times, and never left it sober. Most of my visits have been on a Sunday, where a strict religious regime is practiced - http://www.thechurch.co.uk -although it's moved since I was last in the congregation.

If you intend to attend The Church, ensure you bring a Slovenian rugby top to fit in.

Was there for a while a few month back and visited the IWM (Nortern Region) next to Old trafford whilst there but stopped in a village called Hale and commuted around the area from the hotel.

I remember when I was a kid around 10-12 years old, most of us wanted to have a shirt with Alan Shearer on the back. Dunno why he was so popular at that time, and there was another player from Newcastle, forgot his name...he had a typical "English" face, he looked like a rugby rather than football player. Anyways, I was never a fan of English teams. Juve and Italy when I was dumb, and later Bayern and Germany. (mby bcoz German league is the most popular when in comes to TV broadcasts of foreign leagues).
