I posted a video response to episode 7 showing how to do a plotted intercept and speed solution then follow up with a manual TDC 90 degree attack with map contacts on. Hopefully it'll help you understand better how to plot torpedo attacks and intercepts of ships for when your deck gun can't be used.

Let's Play Silent Hunter V (again)!
Very nice, Kylania. I had often wondered about knots being nautical miles, but distances being in meters, particularly for torpedoes. I should like to choose three targets out of a convoy, and firing on the furthest away first, so calculate ranges & speeds as to have three torpedo impacts on three different targets all occur at the same time. This helps make another step in that goal possible.
