I'm enjoying the game.
I've noticed ships seem harder to sink, and the health bar is a bit lame. I think it's easier to sink a ship if you hit it twice in the same spot. But i have seen videos of ships going down from one torp. Can anyone confirm this? |

To do this - hit esc when you are in the bunker and select options. Note: you must continue from the bunker for the changes to stick. If you load a save game stright away - you will lose the changes ![]() For sinking ships - yes - you can kill with one hit. You should try TDWs FX mod. It enables better sinking (flood, fire and time) ![]() |

You can turn off the health bars in the Gameplay Options. Remember though, for the campaign you need to set the Gameplay Options IN BUNKER after starting. The stuff you set from the main menu doesn't apply to campaign games.
Usually spreading damage across the waterline of a ship is the most effective method of sinking on. Four little holes everywhere will be better than one big hold somewhere. Some ships can be taken out with just one torpedo. Sometimes even one will hit and it looks like it won't sink, but it eventually will. For fast moving ships giving them a nice hole in the bow is good so that they end up plowing forward and drinking the sea in! ![]() |

The reason I don't reply is because the game is crap So I put 20 or 25 mods in to the game to try and make in playable Then I try the single missions and it all looks nice and seems to work But then I try a campaign and every time the game crashes I am hoping that one day someone will make a super mod That will work until that day comes I will be on SH4 |

Though it can be frustrating by times, the good things done with SH5 since it's release far outweigh the bad.
Cheers to all the great modders here ![]() My .02.... |

God damn, i can hit merchants easily, but really struggling at the moment to hit some destroyers, I'm using the lock unlock technique.
They always just skim the bow and travel past them. Even if i aim for the rear of the ship. Are they hearing the torp coming and slowing down? |

You're a u-boat, your job is to sink tonnage to prevent supplies from reaching England or it's armies. You shouldn't be attacking destroyers, that's a job for the surface fleet.
![]() Use your best weapon against destroyers: stealth. Not being seen by them while sinking merchants is worth far more than sinking any number of escorts. ![]() |

Nah just tried against some other merchant ships, same thing. There's something off with the lock unlock technique still.
Any mods to give SH3 targeting? |
