I don't know. Back in my ski-van days I spent the summers driving tourists around. One day I took the Japanese Olympic Ski team (they were on a summertime world tour of ski resorts) from Park City to Snowbird for an overnight stay. On the way they offered me something from a plastic bag. The label said Squid Jerky. It wasn't too bad.
