Radiomarine Corporation part

Something interesting came my way today. It is an indicator magnifier and light shroud(I don't know the proper term) for a Radiomarine Corporation of America radar set. The company was in business from 1927 to 1956 and I would like to associate this to a specific set. The shroud was a common item for repeater, or relay radar CRTs in high ambient light areas, or maybe in subs for red light times, but the magnifier points to older small CRT times. The diameter of the magnifier is about 8.75".

EDIT: I can't find anything about a Radiomarine -radar- set. Nothing at all. Other than this court case

Plaintiff, Radiomarine Corporation, (herein Radiomarine) brought this action against defendant, Gulf Northern Co., Inc., (herein Gulf Northern) seeking to recover money for a loss of certain marine electronic equipment which was lost when Gulf Northern's vessels, M/V Sarah E. Thomas and the M/V W. P. Jackson, sank.
The Court being fully apprised of the premises hereby makes the following findings of fact and conclusions of law.
Findings of Fact
1. Plaintiff Radiomarine was at all material times the owner-lessor of the following marine electronic equipment: Two NIC 75 Tubular Radar Systems; One N8A-40 Marine Radar System; One P7A-150 AM Radio Telephone; One P17A-100 VHF Radio Marine Telephone; One P22A Single Side Bank Radio Telephone; and one P17D-50 Radio Set.
2. At all material times, defendant Gulf Northern was the owner of two river towboats, the M/V W. P. Jackson and the M/V Sarah E. Thomas.
3. In February of 1968, a NIC 75 Tubular Radar System, a P7A-150 AM Radio Telephone and a P17A-100 VHF Radio Marine Telephone were installed on board the motor vehicle Sarah E. Thomas.
4. On February 13, 1969, a P22A Single Side Band Radio Telephone was installed on board the motor vehicle Sarah E. Thomas, and on March 15, 1971, a N8A-40 Marine Radar System was installed on board the motor vehicle Sarah E. Thomas.

That's all I could find after about 35 minutes of digging. I wish I could be of more help.

Best I can find is models CR-101 and CR-103 which I believe are commercial sets made after the war. See page two of this pdf.

Is there a patent number anywhere on the magnifier? If there is, you may be able to do a patent search online...

The rubber is in remarkable shape considering the age. Either it was kept entirely away from sunlight, or it has been replaced. The uneven cut along the bottom of the rubber is troublesome, but explainable if it were adapted in the field from a different model, or if a standard eyepice was used for all models and just cut away after installation.

Nice piece.

The rubber cut is even but is bulged where the rivets are. It is also shaped like a diving mask to fit around the nose and eyes, and has a part number molded in.
