Thank You, TDW

Well - You moved the snorkel away from Yours new UI - just found as I looked around on the Kiel harbour

It's still there. I just disabled the snorkel as default since so many people were complaining about it. You can enable it any time if you want.

Ok - I understand.

One question: I left to patrol 3 days ago (sim days) and no any radio messages yet?

What game date is it (mm/dd/yyyy)? You can look in \data\RadioMessages\language chosen in options file\year\mo to see what radio messages are available for that year and month combo

10.12.1939 -> my second patrol and mission is on the Scapa Flow => Sink 1 Capital Ship.

I'll check what radio messges are available. They works very well (many messages) v. 6_7_1 so I just thinking that You changed something but anyway - thank You Yours hard works and helps, too.

Nothing changed in the radio messages. I looked and there are many radio messages for that month/year combo. Try running Dbgview (\data\Applications) before running the game. It will give insight into why you may not be receiving any radio messages (could be that your radio operator fails to intercept them or they are a transmit once type and you are underwater when they are transmitted)

Yes - I cheked messages, too and found many messages. I ran Dbgview but it's show nothing - only blank box. I never used this so I don't know about how it's really works. Should I give it some path or something? Sorry, I feel me a little bit stupid

BTW I has been all time surfaced

If you want to ensure you receive every message (barring when you are submerged) then you need to use the options editor app and under the radio tab set the percentage chance that radio operator intercepts radio messages to 100 (it's currently at 50)

One note: Acc. to BBC 'Discovery channel' program modern SNCS (such as 'Kentucky') are to go to periscope depth to have annual radio-connection with the base, or even to surface due to the climatic conditions (when the magnetic, electrical fields in atmosphere are active etc.) for that purpose. Don't know personally if it is a bllsht or not, and what parameters had to be set for U-boot to be more realistic

If you're asking how to make the radio messages act like real life then I've set them up to be that way currently (as much as possible). The default maximum depth that you can receive radio messages is set to 30m. The % chance that the radio operator will intercept a radio message is 50. There are other options that deal with radio messages and all can be found using the options editor/viewer app under the radio tab

Hi TDW,

your mod is brilliant, but a grafical overhaul could give more imersion, i think. I am not a grafic guy, so my questions are: 1)could you make the journal to look like a real one?
2) could your options file gui look like the sh3 commander? perhaps, these grafics could be taken, so you dont need to reinvent the wheel?

btw, here is a pic of a ships journal i found in another thread:
