Hello All,
My problem in using the wide screen and/or res mod is much more complicated, in fact I am finding it impossible.
I have a notebook with a 1920 x 1080 wide screen attached using the VGA port. My wide screen is set up to be the primary display and my 1280 x 800 notebook is the extended display, with both screens running off the ATI driver. Before I ran the wide screen and/or res mod, the silent hunter display was stretched to fill the wide screen monitor, 2D and 3D. I found the wide screen mod and when I ran it the first time it worked, with my setting the d3d9.cfg file to 1920 x 1080, however the 2D screen was fixed in the bottom left hand corner of the display. I read the other posts and discovered that it was possible to stretch the 1360 x 768 resolution to the wide screen. So far I am unable to do so. I get the dreaded "Cannot initialize 3D engine". I tried the XPSP2 resolution mod and it screwed my out of game display settings so much, it is taking me hours to fix. To sum it up, I am trying to find out how to stretch the 1360 x 768 screen on the wide screen mod or change the res using the res mod to a monitor that is attached which is also the primary display. By the way, I am also running DirectX 10.
