A win is a win. Hoping the Azzuri don't trouble the Wobblies that much tomorrow.

Not suprisingly, that is the early morning British press viewpoint.

Question is...what will be the next excuse?

Wilkinson was surprisingly inaccurate with the boot. Rodriguez was much the same, both getting only 2 goals from 7 shots.

Certainly, and I especially agree with you on the last 15 minutes, but they've still set the tempo for the first 65 minutes of this match. England can feel lucky the radar of Felipe Contepomi stayed off the field for most of the match.

I should imagine England are feeling very lucky but I doubt their management team will publicly admit it

After rough 1st half, (6-6), the Wallabies started to play and ran out 32-6 victors. Woot!

The Irish had some cemptition from a spirited Team USA. Another close call for a more fancied side.

It was by the end, but the Azzuri put it to them in the first half. They put in some spirited defence and attack and they've got a good scrum.

I honestly haven't viewed the scores in the tournament thus far but has any team won with a lower scoring total than the paltry 13 scored by England?

What I dislike when the rugby world cup takes place on the other side of the Earth, is that I have to do with the comments and reports, without being able to watch all the interesting matches (I doubt much people woke up to watch this one as it took place at 5:30 AM local time). It was the same in 2003 in... Australia.

Only the Springboks came close with a paltry 17, defeating Wales by one point.
