Just got my ass handed to me surfing the SOBX, the Pre-Katia surf has arrived. While they say 4-8ft waves, from the bottom of each trough, you'd swear they were at least 20'. Rode some good ones, and decked out a few times, my whole right side is now covered in road rash from being slammed to the deck...

Wow! The last time I surfed was the summer of '69. That was when I could swim the length of an olympic pool and back underwater, and hold my breath for four minutes sitting still. These days I have trouble getting up from the floor. I can still hold my breath for a minute, which ain't too shabby.
