@captcav:
You are using an old mod version probably.

@Raven434th:
This problem has been fixed already, just wait a bit.

@stormrider_sp:
I've updated the installation instructions (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=1682386), you should disable UAC. CADC download is broken.

Default Any where else to download it?

The download from the link you provided is corrupt, does anyone know of a alternate download link or site?

Currently, there is only the old (1.32) version on ra-dwx.narod.ru.

I've downloaded, re-installed DW, applied 1.04 then installed the new RA mod, but when I tried the mission Typhoon vs 688 it crashed back to desktop.

I really like this mod, but its install method is unrealiable and obsolete. They should stick with JSGME which works great and offers huge flexibility.

I'll try to re-install it all over again and see if it works.

JSGME can't extract/compress graphics, audio, etc. So, please, use that obsolete and unreliable bat-file.

No, JSGME never claimed to, and doesn't need to. It enables mods, not installs them.

In case you wonder: RA installed with JSGME works fine (I've done it). I see no reason the RA devs couldn't set RA up to install to a MODS folder than to the root DW one.

I'll say it again: If RA included JSGME, it would help the user immeasurably. The user could return to stock install status before updating RA to a new version versus a complete reinstall of DW and patch. Of course, it would also mean a user could use LWAMI, AT etc, but that's little reason to exclude it.

Oh, you want some multi-hundred-megabyte archive? No problem. But we are barbarians and do not like simple solutions.

Don't forget, not everyone has a cheap fast internet connection. And I don't feel like downloading all the crap I already have on hard disk. Although I liked a conspiracy theory about forbidden use of LWAMI, AlfaTau, whatever.

Nonsense! I downloaded 1.33 from there a full day before posting the link.

It never reverted back to 1.32.

OK, so that was from my browser cache, after F5 got the new version. Sorry for misleading.

No problem. That was what I thought too.

Krabb, please explain how JSGME adds "multi-hundred-megabytes" to the already sizable RA package. I'd really like to know, since it doesn't seem to be so apparent in LWAMI or AT. Plus, you don't need to include JSGME in the RA package to make it compatible with it. It could be downloaded separately.

Trust me; my internet connection is often wifi at Starbucks, but I still download RA. You imply that RA would need to include files we already have, but why? If RA is modding files in the folder it is placed within, then if placed in MODS, the required files could be copied over via the .bat to mod and remain there. If that will be sizable alongside the stock install, then so be it. RA takes space, but it's worth it.

I'm glad you found it entertaining. I only wish there were more plausible reasons as amusing.

I see no point to redo another bat-file, which will deal with JSGME. If you want to do it, then please do so and send it to CrazyIvan. Or you want all the modded files to be placed in JSGME-ready archive? A very rough estimate would be about 1.5 GB of files. You probably don't know, but somewhere out there Internet traffic is limited to some low will-be-enough-to-everyone value and costs like hell.
