Graphical glitch need some help

Hello everyone well after 9 days of adjustments and corrections i finally reached my max that my system can handle. I want to thank everyone that has helped me specifically Sailor steve, Jimbuna, TheDarkWraith, Frau Kaleun, Fishinthewater, Magic111, Squaresteelbar,Flakmonkey and everyone else sorry if i cant remember everyones name. You guys/girls have helped an old sub guy finally get this game looking and playing awesome. I just got one last little glitch thats messing it all up. A few parts of my uboat (ixb) are invisible the torpedo doors, the little hole at the tip of the boat, the dive planes and the anchor. Ive looked thru the mods and i cant figure out whats causing the glitch. I know it has something to do with the uboat subfolder i just cant figure out which file. If someone can tell me which file it is i can correct this minor malfunction and finally play a genuine campaign with all the wonderful mods you maniacs made lol. I THINK it is the UFLAK tga but im not sure. So once again thanks for helping me you guys/girls are the best.

Cant take any screens the darn high resolution bug is freezing the game and not letting me take any screens. Thats another problem that i dont think will be solved but its invisible i check again.

Use an external proggy like PicPick or Fraps

If it's the res fix mod that's causing the issue, using an external program might not work either. I tried Fraps a while back and still got freezes trying to take screenshots with the res fix installed. Nothing I've ever tried has eliminated the issue entirely.

Did you ever try to take a screenshot if you launched SH3 in windowed mode?

Maybe that works...?

Can't remember, but I tried so many things - tinkered with resolution, GPU settings, scaling and rescaling, turned off a ton of stuff in Win7 (Aero, desktop themes, anything that could be turned off really), ran everything in comp mode for different versions of the OS - nothing ever worked.

Occasionally I would be able to get a few screenshots - usually in "quieter" moments when there wasn't much going on - but eventually it would just freeze up again. Which made me wonder if it was a RAM issue, since taking even one shot in a crowded harbor or when there was a lot of fires, explosions, etc. going on after an attack usually resulted in an immediate crash. But I've got the 4GB patch for the game and 8GB of RAM on the system and it still happens. And I never had the problem at all when I was on XP 32-bit with no 4GB patch and <4 gigs system RAM, so it is a puzzlement.

I'll play with it some more when I get the new system set up and see what happens. I'll probably mess around a bit without the res fix just to see if I mind playing without it, since *not* using it would seem to be the simplest solution.

I'm not 100% sure on this but are you running Aces' Super, Dupah, Woopah Turms (inc. Super Turms v6) for GWX....

I do because I love it big time, but, I get the same problem re the missing/black textures. I posted to Aces here.........

Alas I'm still waiting for the bugger to get back to me, he's on exrended shoreleave methinks, I know this won't help you mate, just hope it helps narrow things down a bit

well i followed fubars advice and rolled back to aces super turms 5.1 and hes correct no graphical glitches with invisibility. I guess it has something to do with the DUPE,SUPE, SUper turms v6. Dunno what, but since aces is on SHore leave lol will have to wait till he gets back.

yea fubar had the same problem with the invisible anchor and torpedo doors so im just follwing what he did. Some conflict cant sort it. But at least i have A turm lol Thanks fish hey you know anything about adding a me 262 to the campaign or maybe an allied version glochester metoer or shooting star for USA.
