Hi Mate I vote for 4
 How about trying to make a black and white version to make it look more like the authentic Kreigsmarine maps  It might need remaking of the maps to get rid of the land gradients so they appear all white but this is possible. If I get a chance I'll try altering the Map level 1 to see what it looks like
