Careful. 280.26 caused me troubles with SBP, making it to freeze the graphics while the sim ran on, blindly. Going back to 275.xx solved the issue. 280.26 also gave me CTDs with FS9. Thgey too got solved by goiung back to 275.xx.

It is a good idea to keep your OS and most other stuff updated, but gfx boards are the exception from the rule, too often latest drivers not only solve issues and adress new games, but also mess up things that before were no problem. For example the Alpi 3 scenery for Condor was almost unplayable with drivers between 262.xx and 272.xx - you either had to use an older driver, or wait for the newest ones.

With gfx drivers I tend to think: do not update them if not needed, means: if you do not have problems with any existing title your play. Why I did it today I do not know, but breaking my own rule immediately had me getting my fingers burned. So: serves me right.

Very true Skybird.
Although I must admit. and from research, nVidia is a lot better in updating their drivers in relation to stability and regularity of updates.
But you are right, if issues arise with certain games, which invariably happens with bot companie's drivers, then roll back until newest driver's stability is addressed.

Drivers works fine for me, Windows 7 Ult edition 64bit, no service pack with updates turned off the day this OS was installed (Dec 2010) No issues with the OS.

Ive notice the glitching in Farcry 2 has gone since this new driver update.

This driver is giving me driver stopped responding message from time to time. Rare but certainly periodic.
