Good luck tonight, to you and you neighbours. It's quite horrifying.

HeartC, you always manage to bring humor into a situation in the best possible way. It's like Cyrano teaching his opponents how to 'properly' insult his nose.

You don't drop in nearly often enough.

They did nothing if "it's madness and there isn't an excuse for it". Either there is or there isn't. It can't be both.

nope.

Most people are inherently decent; communities at large do not want this kind of thing and will not support it.

To say that the only thing that causes people to live together in peace and relative harmony is the rule of law or the apparatus of state security is nonsense.
Fact of the matter is the government do not have enough security forces to contain 60 odd million people should they decide to kick off. A few bozos taking advantage of the situation while they can is nothing to get worried about.

That leaves how many million people who are not out rioting and pillaging each others stuff?

c'mon fella, have a little perspective.

I live in the middle of a city, and I know my neighbours and they know me. There's community right there.

All very exciting.
But I am managing to keep a level head about it.

That's not to say I don't want all this scheisse stopped.

But please, stop panicking.
It's probably not helping your state of mind.

I don't mean this as a dig Paul.
It's a genuine piece of friendly advice.
Thanks,it SORT of helps a bit.Once we get tonight out of the way and the police hopefully nip it in the bud I may rest a bit easier,in fact we all will.

Best of luck down there

not really. This outlet for dealing with the problem is not excusable. If they were protesting or marching on the capitol I would applaud.

just because they are dealing with the problem via "madness" does not mean something didn't set them off.

I was just thinking, is there anything outside the frount of the house that a mob might take or burn? It might be an idea to move things like bins and flowerpots etc, but just stay in doors if you hear or see any trubble.
