That would be the infamous ignore list.
Click on the user name of a member. Select user lists and then add to ignore list. I would recommend to keep the list short though as simply ignoring other opinions is no way of dealing with them (though I'll admit that I have a few names on my list as well).

It will show you that the member has posted when you read through a thread but the content of the post won't be shown unless you click on the "show post" button.
