2001 I think, Bruggan had just been handed over to the Army the week before and we were the only RAF guys there (apart from one dental assistant - personnel section really screwed her posting up!), some of the lads had been there before so knew about Rosenmontag and that everyone would be in fancy-dress, apart from the squaddies that had arrived recently. So we were pretty much the only Brits fitting in with the locals. Wore the same all weekend and loved it, loved the locals - inc the Turks who drove us home!
