Tricky pixel scaling problem

P.S. I also tried the -fullscreen -w xxxx -h xxx parameter on the exe (also tried -width xxxx - height xxx), but then the game just launches and then locks inside game, you cannot access any function, menu, or load a saved game.

I just found that in the options for the exe-link you can tick a box that the game shouild start in 640x480, it then starts well and gets blown to full size. It is what I want - but with the wrong, too low, resolution.

Is there a way to change this default setting to for example 1280 x 768 ?
