depends on my mood...

either this, which is also my birthday song:

why invent a new melody when there is already a good, fitting one (The song goes to the melody of Amazing Grace)

or that

just a wonderful song, helped me to cope with much pain

I think both shall be played.

It would have to be some lively up song that will make everyone at my funeral happy. Ive told family I don't want people to mourn for me I want them to enjoy my death and party in celebration of my passing. Bury me then go home and have a big feast and party hard. They must stick to how I want my funeral or I will come back to haunt them for the rest of their lives if they don't!

I think Bob Marley's song 'lively up yourself' would work.

Ry Cooder's
(Only, to avoid any unnecessary discomfort, I would probably want it listed as something a little less jarring, like "There's Too Many Saints In Heaven So They're Sending Me Back.")

Cause if I'm having that bad a day, everyone else should, too.

Edit:
And I want it on bagpipes!

Sadly, I could not find a bagpipe version of this song online, I tried all name variations, nothing came up...
But I see this as a quest, next week I will look into the archives at work. There must be a lunatic somewhere who played and recorded this song on bagpipes. Don't die before we found it, man!

As an added bonus, make anyone who doesn't get up and do the dance pay for his own drinks at the wake.

If the bagpipes are unavailable, a live performance on this instrument:

would be an acceptable performance.

Just remember, the first two letters of funeral are "F U".

Sandstorm - on loop.

And "Top Gun Anthem" at the burial.

And I want my showing to have an open bar.

Make it a celebration of life - not - well - a funeral.

Agreed. That is why I want Walking On Sunshine. I hate the song myself, but put it on in a group and everyone smiles, laughs and dances.. even if they are all just taking the mic on the awful and overly cheery song

There are a few.

None that would make people sad however. To me death is mission complete than game over.

However if anyone wants to raise eyebrows I think this will do just that. People will think God damn it he's not taking his own death seriously.

This one song came into mind mostly for its tune. It's the kind of tune I'd love in my funeral.

And I love this song for its lyrics, right now it's probably what I'd like to play at my funeral.
